Carolyn Rodis and Steve Henick bring the training, mediation skills and specific experience that are needed to make your mediation succeed. 

Carolyn and Steve have both received rigorous mediation training including several advanced courses. In addition to their private practice, they mediate for The Maryland District and Circuit Courts, the Maryland Commission on Human Relations and the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center. Their efforts have been singled out for special recognition. 

Carolyn and Steve have mediated numerous cases. These include elder issues, business disputes, family matters, discrimination claims and  community disagreements.

Carolyn has learned how to ask the right questions and give voice to everyone during her twenty years as a public interest lawyer. Steve has spent 30 years in the international arena fostering understanding and building consensus among people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Carolyn has also received a Masters Degree in Aging and teaches the subject at the university level. This enhances her ability to mediate cases involving disputes among adult children and their aging parents concerning issues like long-term care, financial arrangements, driving, medical care, guardianship and end of life decisions.

Steve has a Masters in Business and spent over 30 years as a business executive – much of it in general management. He knows how to identify the business issues in a dispute and to promote the understanding needed to find solutions.

Carolyn and Steve mediate independently and together depending on the case and needs of the clients. The fee is the same regardless of whether one or both are involved. The objective is to provide the clients with the best possible chance to resolve their problems. 

Rodis & Henick is based in Annapolis, Maryland and offers its services in the greater Washington D.C. and Baltimore area in locations that are convenient to our clients. We will travel out of the area if this best meets our client’s needs.
